In summer, it gives us the energy for endless hikes under the Midnight Sun. But even during the dark Polar Night, the Sun never truly abandons us. It simply changes form.

The Aurora Borealis, which we hunt for on freezing winter nights, is created by energy—particles from the Sun—interacting with our atmosphere. Even when the Sun is below the horizon, it gifts us these unforgettable colors on the northern sky.

At Solaris Treks, we specialize in creating unforgettable active trips in both seasons. Whether we are hiking in the bright daylight or snowshoeing under the dancing Aurora, we are always following the Sun’s energy.

Tromsø has been my home since 2014. It’s here that I found the perfect conditions for what I love most – being in motion surrounded by wild nature.

I’m addicted to the mountains and all activities related to them. Whether it’s hiking to the peaks, a dynamic mountain bike ride, a long trail run, or winter backcountry skiing missions – this is my element.
